In 1996 we had to replace our old furnace. After researching what our options were, cost and the long term effect of our choice, we decided to use propane. We chose Ferrellgas because they offered lock pricing, a year-round payment plane, automatic payment from our account, and a keep-full policy so wed didn’t have to check the tank. When Ferrellgas installed our tank, not only was the set-up done quickly and efficiently, but safety issues were explained to both of us.
We have electric back-up heat and on occasion turn it on to make sure it still works, but we can tell immediately when it is being used since propane provides us with a “warmer heat.”
Since Ferrellgas takes care of everything, we rarely talk to anyone at your company. In the past year I have had the opportunity to meet Dylane Klatt and feel he represents Ferrellgas exceptionally well. We never had any doubts that if we had problems we would be taken care of, but now we know we will.

I am still stunned by the customer service and professional action this company took in making a difference to a family in need! Ferrellgas has restored my faith in corporate America!
An employee of mine was struck in a terrible situation after moving into her home. The landlord had left the propane tank empty and disconnected unbeknownst to her. She and her family are on a very limited budget and did not have the financial resources to pay to have the tank filled. They had been living without heat for 5 days with 20 degree temps outside. After hearing of her situation, I contacted Ferrellgas and they immediately without reservation took control of the situation.
A snow and ice storm was to hit Raleigh the next day, the temps were below freezing the day of my call .Upon speaking with Jennifer in Customer Service, she called her route supervisor to arrange a same day gas delivery for me. When the driver arrived at the address it was found that the tank was unsafe and pipes were disconnected. Jennifer promptly arranged for service technicians and gas delivery for the next morning before the ice storm arrived. Mike, a Ferrellgas technician contacted me as did Jennifer numerous times that morning to ensure I was informed as to what was going on an d that everything possible was being done for the family. They did not rest until the family's pilot light was lit and warm air came through the homes vents. These two truly saved the day!
I am most sincere in saying that I have NEVER dealt with a company as customer service oriented as Ferrellgas. Jennifer and Mike showed me that customer care is not an outdated term; at least not at Ferrellgas. These employees are a reflection of the management attitude within this organization. I can only surmise that this heartfelt concern and sincere interest in helping customers stems from the company's business philosophy. Kudos to all of you at Ferrellgas!

We have a small summer trailer in Lake County, California and received a very large bill, I called yesterday to your Customer Care center and spoke to Sharon T. Sharon was wonderful. She listened to my concerns and got information on how I might be able to save on my usage. Sharon took time to investigate my situation and gave me some very useful information.
I just wanted someone to know what a great employee Sharon was and what a great job she did. I have been working in Customer Service in various areas of Wells Fargo Bank for over 30 years. Customer Service is not an easy job, and from my years of doing it I know when I get really good customer service and I sure got that from Sharon.

I just wanted to write to let you know of the exemplary service I received from one of your employees.
On November 6, 2006, I had a new tank installed at my home because I switched my propane service to Ferrellgas. The gentleman who came to install the tank was Jim E. (the truck number listed on the ticket was M234). Jim was incredibly pleasant not only to me, but to my children as well. My triplets are three years old and curious about everything. Though I usually try to keep them out of the way, Jim took the time to talk to them, let them follow him around, and kept right on explaining what he was doing. He wasn’t impatient or intolerant at all. I was very impressed with the job he did, and very appreciative of the extra time and care he took with the little ones. Jim is a wonderful example of just what customer service means. You have an excellent employee in Jim, and I hope that after you pass on my thanks you will include this in his permanent employee file.

As a retired employee from a company that prided itself on service, I feel that I am qualified to comment on this issue. So many companies today do not know what service means.
The office that services Ramona, California, from their San Diego office has a driver named Glen. He recently checked our system for us and did a thorough job the same day we requested service. He came back later in the evening and restarted our water heater. My wife and I are in our 80s and needed hot water. We have been customers for years and we have told others of the great service. Every company should have an employee like Glen.
Kudos to Ferrellgas.

I knew nothing about gas logs, but had heard that they were efficient and would meet my needs. Your office manager, Amanda Wineberg, was totally knowledgeable in all aspects of the logs, your service and the installation process. She was friendly, helpful, and went way beyond what you would expect of a service representative.
Additionally, Randy Bear, John Brown, and Jim Williams made up my service and installation team. They, again, were both friendly and professional. I have recommended Ferrellgas to all my friends and to real estate professionals in the area. This kind of service is hard to come by.

I wanted to tell you about the great service I received from Ferrellgas this summer. Your staff that answers the phone are each efficient, pleasant and have good memories!
My first call to them came when I arrived at my vacation home in the Brazos and smelled gas. It was quickly determined that my propane tank was empty and I was smelling the additive. A delivery was arranged for that day – and it was Saturday.
Mr. Orlando Martinez made the delivery, checked for leaks and later repaired a leaking connection in my clothes dryer. Mr. Martinez is a great representative of a company that obviously cares about service to its customers.

When customer service is excellent, I put stars on my research list. After contacting 8 different propane gas companies, including my current distributor, I chose Ferrellgas - the price was right and more important, Summer, the service representative, was attentive, friendly, and detailed in providing answers to all my questions. Some companies told me I'd have to wait for 10 days because the person handling budget plans was on vacation. One told me that the person in charge of budget plans would call me back because she had come in from lunch and was still on her cell phone. After such responses, I called Ferrellgas and told Summer that I would give her my business. I figured that the first line of contact represents the quality of service throughout the company. I recently purchased a 320-gallon tank from Ferrellgas hoping to save money by not renting and being able to shop for low propane prices. I discovered that it was time to refill my tank around the holidays, but I was so caught up in the yuletide festivities that I procrastinated and didn’t order a refill. I was soon in a predicament that was compounded by a winter blast that crippled the Greater Puget Sound area for a week and made travel to my rural, Southern Pierce County home difficult. I was forced to turn off my freestanding propane stove, and had to heat my house with several electric baseboard heaters. This situation, of course, was not pleasant for me or my pocketbook.
I began my search for a propane refill and called Ferrellgas first. I was told that my area’s Driver was booked for a full day of deliveries and the soonest I could be serviced would be the 12th. After calling several local distributors, I found one who was willing to match your price and promised delivery on the 8th. This decision turned out to be my second mistake. They didn’t show up as promised. They didn’t show up the next day either, and on the 10th, your competitor’s receptionist left a message saying they attempted delivery, but the roads were not passable and they would not be able to make it back until the 16th. Unfortunately for that company, she had incorrect information—the roads had been clear and drivable for days. I knew then I was not dealing with an honest company.
I called your Auburn facility on the 11th, and promptly at 8 a.m. Monday, Ferrellgas called and said they would do all they could to fit me into the delivery schedule. I would like to tell you that much to my appreciation, a delivery was made to my home, and my gas stove now heats me comfortably.
My deepest and sincerest appreciation goes to you and your team for a job well done. Kudos to you for the best Customer service. Each and every time I have dealt with Ferrellgas in Auburn, I have been treated with the utmost courtesy.

I want to tell you about one of your Employees who works at your location in Obetz, Ohio. This letter isn’t about anything he’s done on the job, but it describes what an outstanding job he did off the clock for people in need.
In late September, an area roughly 100 miles west of Columbus was hit with heavy rains flooding many areas along the Ohio River. My parents, who are both in their 70s, were among the many victims hit hard by the storm. They sustained major damage to their home, including a broken basement wall that allowed floodwaters and mud to enter.
The bill to repair the damage was more than they could afford, so I needed to travel to their home and help out. As I was making plans, I mentioned to your Employee that I was going to help my family and their neighbors repair the flood damage. He was quick to ask if he could go along and help out. I let him know I was leaving on a Wednesday, and he made some calls to work and got the time off to help.
I’m sure he gives 100 percent on the job as he did in this time of need for friends and strangers. I hope that you recognize him for the outstanding performance he completed off the job, as he is not only recognized as a friend, but as a Ferrellgas Employee to all who know him.
