The primary purpose of the Distribution Analyst I, under general guidance from the Director of Operations/General Manager, is to support the daily operations of the Blue Rhino distribution location ensuring safe, timely, and efficient installation, delivery and merchandising of Blue Rhino tank exchange products. This position requires Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
Provides support to the Director of Operations/General Manager in route scheduling and dispatch.
Develops daily route schedules that ensure proper balance between efficient vehicle utilization and designated Blue Rhino customer service objectives.
Minimizes “no service” tickets.
Communicates route schedules to drivers.
Utilizes Road Net to improve route planning and efficiency.
Evaluates driver efficiency and productivity – cylinders/hour, cylinders/mile, cylinders/route, adherence to schedule and routing.
Monitors Rhino Net Call Center.
Schedules and dispatches drivers for “out-of-stock” calls on a timely basis.
Completes Call Frequency Report to improve route efficiency.
Works the “No Delivery in XX Days” to ensure customers are not being missed. Places customers on route if needed.
Schedules service request calls from retail customers.
Completes status updates in Rhino Net for proper tracking.
Enters expected day for delivery into Rhino Net Call Center so CSS’s can keep the customers informed about status.
Coordinates response to local emergency calls, leaking cylinders, and customer stock-outs as required.
Manages Installation Process.
Ensures timely set-up and installation of new customer locations.
Coordinates the creation of site plans for new set-ups and obtains Fire Marshall’s approval.
Recommends capacity increases, decreases, or de-installs to Director of Operations/General Manager.
Ensures appropriate supply of refurbished or new cages exist for installation needs.
Manages inventory audit and transfer process. Reports inventory position to Distribution Manager as requested.
Ensures daily cylinder inventory is completed and recorded.
Ensures all transfers are completed and recorded in a timely manner.
Manages Merchandising of Rhino displays at customer locations
Ensures all merchandising requirements are assigned and scheduled for completion by due dates
Acts as Blue Rhino Subject Matter Expert
Key contact for Rhino Customer Care, Sales and corporate personnel
Makes sure no balls get dropped on the Rhino business
Keeps DO/GM informed of all issues related to Rhino business
Completes special projects as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
Experience with a Direct Store Delivery operation a plus
Must be customer focused
Demonstrates ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Demonstrates attention to detail, analytical skills, and interpersonal skills a must
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including strong proficiency with Excel.
