brought the dreams of critically and chronically ill children in the Kansas City and surrounding areas a little closer to reality thanks to a recent golf tournament that raised $70,000 for the Dream Factory of Greater Kansas City.
The inaugural Ferrellgas Dream Factory Classic, which was held May 19 at Tiffany Springs Golf Course in Kansas City and hosted by Overland Park, Kansas-based Ferrellgas Partners, L.P. , featured 116 golfers from 12 states and Canada.
According to Dream Factory President Ralph Apel, the event is one of the largest fundraisers ever held for the organization.
"The donation that resulted from this tremendous event will go
directly toward the dreams of a number of very deserving children here
in greater Kansas City," Apel said. "I cannot thank our good friends at Ferrellgas and the many sponsors they assembled enough."
George Koloroutis, President of Ferrell North America, and Senior Vice President of Ferrellgas, said the Dream Factory of Kansas City can expect the company's support year after year.
"Ferrellgas has gotten to know the Dream Factory of Greater Kansas City well in recent years," Koloroutis said. "I can't think of a better
organization or a better cause. We're in the process of setting even
more aggressive goals for this event and look forward to hosting it for
many years to come."
