Partners, L.P., one of the nation’s largest propane distributors, recently was nominated
for the 2008 Employer Support Freedom Award. The award is given annually by the
U.S. Secretary of Defense National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard
and Reserve (ESGR) to honor American employers of National Guard or Reserve
members for their exceptional support above the requirements of federal law.
According to a letter
signed by the Executive Director of the ESGR, L. Gordon Summer, Jr., the nomination
demonstrates appreciation for the exceptional leadership, support, and personal
devotion Ferrellgas provides to the National Guard and Reserve.

The Freedom Award
is the highest in a series of ESGR awards that include the Patriot Award, the
Above and Beyond Award, and the Pro Patria Award. The 2008 recipients will be
announced mid summer and honored in Washington,
D.C., at the 13th annual Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award ceremony Sep. 18,
