If your propane tank is dislodged or has shifted position; gas lines are bent or damaged; or you see something unusual about your tank, evacuate your house as soon as possible and contact your local fire department from a safe location. Anyone smelling propane inside or outside of a building should call 911 and avoid any activity that can create a spark that might ignite propane. Avoid smoking, starting engines or motors, turning on cooking appliances, using heating/air conditioning systems or using other ignition sources if propane is smelled.
