When do Ferrell Platinum Plus memberships automatically renew?
The contract period for Ferrell Platinum Plus is July 1 to June 30. The new contract renews on July 1. Members are notified 30 days prior to the beginning of any renewal period.
Why do you charge a membership fee?
Similar to a warehouse club store such as Sam’s Club or Costco, to participate in the special bulk pricing you have to be a member, and to be a member you have to pay a fee. This fee gets you access to the warehouse club’s bulk pricing. These warehouse clubs charge a fee because buying mass quantities in bulk is a risk and they can’t guarantee all of these items will be purchased. Part of this risk is absorbed by the membership fees the warehouse store charges. Ferrell Platinum Plus membership fees work the same way. Customers pay a fee to get locked in to special bulk pricing. Ferrellgas then stores the propane for the customer, and like warehouse clubs, Ferrellgas takes a risk by offering special pricing (the risk of unpurchased gallons as well as the cost to store those gallons).
How is my contract price determined for Ferrell Platinum Plus?
We offer the best available pricing based on cost of product at the time of purchase.
I prepay for my gallons. What happens if I use more than I paid for?
The great thing about Platinum Plus is that gallons are unlimited. If you use more gallons than you expected to use, your price is protected through June 30th. We don’t charge open market pricing if you exceed your prepaid gallons.
