Made in America: Celebrating the American worker

Tags:

Labor Day is often thought of as a bookend holiday and the unofficial end of summer as we close another chapter on picnics in the park, trips to the pool, and back-to-school shopping.

But did you know that Labor Day is about much more than a day off work?

What began as a social and economic movement in the 19th century has had a lasting effect on the basic rights of everyday Americans. Laborers during this time fought for the working conditions we enjoy today – things like the 40-hour work week, minimum wage, overtime pay, workers’ compensation, sick leave, and child labor laws.

On this Labor Day, we also want to honor the contributions that American workers are currently making. No matter the industry, it’s hardworking men and women across the country who are responsible for our nation’s growth and prosperity.

Fueling what matters to local businesses

At Ferrellgas, we’re proud to serve customers who get the job done day in and day out – customers like Dimensional Innovations who design and build larger than life experiences for their clients. We’re privileged to provide them with the fuel they need to keep their forklifts moving and their business running. Because when they don’t have to worry about where their propane is coming from or when it will show up, they can focus more time and energy on taking care of their customers.

For a behind-the-scenes look at the work they do and the lengths our own Ferrellgas employee owners go to serve them, check out the video below.
